Gent Cav
President, Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board of DirectorsGent Cav is the founder of G4 and has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and Chief Technology Officer. Cav is a 20-year veteran of the telecommunications industry and is responsible for managing and leading the company along with business, network and future planning. Before G4 Communications, Cav, founded the ICV Communications, a voice processing systems development company; Global Information Network and Metro2000, New Hampshire'’s leading dial-up Internet Service Provider; and New Hampshire Computer Outlets, computer retail stores providing service and sales. He currently serves as the CTO for the NHISP Association and President of the Coppercom Users Group Association. Cav has held several management positions with such companies as Honeywell Bull, Office Appliance Company, and was in charge of designing and implementing; a telephone network based on Nortel DMS10 switch, data network utilizing IBM AS400 systems and a multi channel cable distribution systems at Klassis Resort Hotels. Cav also holds advisory committee positions and actively involved on development of future soft-switch development for both class4 and class5 platforms through several open-source and commercial manufacturers.

Advisor to the PresidentRalph Thompson is an innovated telecommunications professional with experience in virtually all aspects of the industry. Mr. Thompson has spent most of his career with Nynex and Verizon, where he was known for his expertise in Leadership, Problem Solving, Strategic Planning and Operations Excellence.Mr. Thompson was the original Chief Executive Officer at Gibraltar Nynex, the first International acquisition of a foreign telephone company by a US RBOC. In this position, he led the transformation of the company from a Government Agency with poor service to a privatized Corporation with a strong service ethic. As Director of Strategic Planning at Nynex, Mr. Thompson authored the first sales agent agreement between an RBOC and an authorized vendor of regulated services. Approval of this agreement by the FCC helped change the landscape for competition in the domestic marketplace. At Verizon, Mr. Thompson was the General Manager for the Northeast Region for Public Communications. In this position he oversaw two nationwide service improvement and bottom line enhancing projects. He also led the region to become the top performer in the country in the areas of service and profitability. Also at Verizon, Mr. Thompson was the General Manager-Business Assurance where he oversaw a budget of $ 700 Million and HR functions for a workforce of 10,000 employees. Most recently, Mr. Thompson was the Vice President of Business Operations and Economic Development at FairPoint Communications. In preparation of the FairPoint purchase of the Verizon assets in Northern New England, Mr. Thompson oversaw the development of numerous Operational and Sales systems and processes. Mr. Thompson received his B.S. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts and his MBA in Finance and Marketing from Suffolk University. He also successfully completed the Greater Boston Executive Program at the MIT Sloan School of Business.
