What is CIDR?
Classless Inter-Domain Routing, also known super-netting, is used to reduce the size of routing tables and to increase routing speeds. By grouping subnets together, a single route can be entered for several destinations. A router in the Autonomous System that the destination belongs in will then determine the final route.
