My error log says robots.txt was not found.
The robots.txt file tells search engines which files and directories they can and can’t index on your site. There is a great deal of information on the format of this file available on the Internet.

What is the difference between a FrongPage web hosting area and an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) web hosting area?
A FrontPage site must be published using Microsoft FrontPage. G4 Communications’ FrontPage web hosting accounts incorporate a technology called Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions which provide an easy way to use page counters, banners, special effects and more. For more information on Microsoft FrontPage, visit http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage. FTP-hosted sites can be published using your choice of FTP client.

Why can’t I use FTP to transfer files to and from my FrontPage site?
For security reasons, G4 Communications does not allow FTP access into FrontPage web areas. The web hosting account type is established at the time of order. If you find you need to switch types, please contact our Technical Assistance Center at 1.888.840.4487.

What do I do with the log files?
There are a number of packages, both free and commercial, that will read your log files and help you make sense of what kind of traffic your site is getting. We recommend WebTrends. For more information on WebTrends, visit http://www.webtrends.com.

Why is my site set up as mycompany.g4.net instead of www.mycompany.com?
We rename your new web hosting area to allow you continued access to the old web site during the transition. This allows you to retrieve any content you may want to put on the new site and keeps your old site active until all the content is in place.

When you are satisfied with the content on the new site, contact your DNS provider and have them change your "www" DNS pointer to www.g4.net (216.64.31.75).
