G4 completes Southern New Hampshire OC-48 SONET network

Manchester, NH , February 14, 2006, G4 Communications announced today that its first phase of Southern New Hampshire OC-48 SONET network has been completed and fully operational.

G4 deployed the OptiX Metro 1600 OC48/192 compact SONET platform as part of a network expansion that integrates IP and TDM services within a single transport platform. The self-healing ring consists of OC-48 speeds and capable of delivering 80 wavelengths at 10 Gbps. The ring includes 7 sites and ensure full redundancy and connectivity through a high-capacity fiber-optic cables, which connects to G4's Boston Ring in Massachusetts.
