G4 Communications Expands Broadband Network

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire, July 19, 2002 - G4 Communications, a Manchester, NH based, leading provider of Internet services in New England, has announced a major upgrade and the expansion of its broadband network to 24 New Hampshire towns and cities.

The upgrade, which is already started, will offer IDSL and SDSL services up to 2.3 Megabits with distances up to 30,000 feet from the local Central Offices, and Extended Reach DSL services up to 1.5 Megabits with no distance limitations. G4 currently offers its' high speed broadband services in 20 New Hampshire towns. The expansion, which is scheduled to take place during the fall of this year, will link Berlin, Goffstown, Hanover, Lebanon, Littleton, North Conway, North Woodstock (Lincoln), and Plymouth towns to G4's high-speed Internet service. Otel Telekom, the CLEC arm of G4 Communications, is in charge of building out the new G4 high-speed broadband infrastructure.

"Many people and businesses in these towns lost their high-speed connections when Vitts Networks went out of business last year and either forced to pay high priced Internet services, or stayed without high-speed connectivity to the Internet, which is a necessity in today's global market place." said Gent Cav, President of G4 Communications. "We're happy to have the opportunity to bring broadband services back and get them up, and running again."

G4 Communications already chose and committed to Portsmouth, NH based Net To Net Technologies' IP based access equipment. "We are a New Hampshire company, and we like to use Made In New Hampshire products and services whenever possible." Gent Cav said, and added "but besides being a New Hampshire product, we realized Net To Net has the best solution out in the market, and plays a major role in our expansion."

G4 Communications has been providing Internet services, including OC3, T3, T1, DSL, ISDN, wholesale Dial-up, VOIP digital phone systems, and hosting services since 1993. Currently, G4 service areas cover Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island in New England. The company started as a local BBS (Bulletin Board Service) in Derry, NH called GIN in 1993, and evolved in to a full facilities based ISP. G4 Communications today, owns and operates other small local Internet Service Providers like Internet Authority, Metro2000, Seabreeze, Surfgate through acquisitions during past years. G4 also acquired a bankrupt local broadband provider, Vitts' networking assets last October, and recently assets from Advanced Radio Telekom, a Seattle based ex-broadband provider.
